Yet another update - Well...that success lasted two days. The app is freezing again. *sigh* ******* Update - After I downloaded version 2.34.0, I uninstalled and re-installed the new version. Functionality appears to have returned. I hope it stays this way. I am tired of cringing every time I touch the app. Kudos to you Google. Thank you for bringing GC back to life. ******* Third party apps work better with my Google Calendar entries than this app. I’m surprised that this GC is so dysfunctional for months now. I have updated my iOS whenever possible, updated the GC app when fixes are available. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and it keeps freezing and crashing. Is Google doing this on purpose? I can’t believe it isn’t fixed yet and third party calendar apps handle the functionality better.

0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. I live and die by Google calendar for work in and out of the office and for my personal life. I used to love this app. It worked flawlessly and was easy to use and I had no problems with syncing. Over the last couple months, the apps performance has gone from 98% to less than 10%. It will not open on either my iPhone or iPad. Could it be a google/apple incompatibility problem that slowly arose? Maybe. I am deleting this app and using a 3rd party app. DO NOT USE THIS APP. IT IS USELESS ANYMORE.

Started out pleased with this App on my iPad, now not so much. Slow, locks up and just stops working. Looking to return to iPad calendar. Keep hoping for bug fix update!?

I’ve always been a Google Calendar fan...but right now...it’s awful. There are some other reviewers who have mentioned the same - open the app and it immediately crashes & closes before you can even see your schedule...or try to send feedback. The recent updates have not helped...they’ve made the app terrible. Google - get it together and get this fixed before you lose a lot of users!!! You promise functionality across the Google platform but that is not what we are getting and I agree with others...unfortunately because of the bugs in the app - this is the only way to offer feedback.

Love the app when it works. However lately you cant even open the app without it crashing. When it does open and you go add an event the calendar completely shuts down. Please fix this issue.

This app has been working great for me until recently. It’s so laggy and it crashes almost every time I open the app. Please fix this problem.

Have been using this faithfully for almost a year now. Approx. a week ago started to crash when using it on mobile iPhone. Numerous comments on boards from other users experiencing same problem with no response. I depend on this calendaring system for both work & social.

I would like to use this app as a main calendar and task manger app but it needs more work to be done. For example I want to use reminders as a main to do list. But the UX for the reminder is bad and there is no way to access the same list from the web. Google, you can do far better then that.

iPad app is slow and choppy. Lots of freezing and crashing. I try to add events and dread adding more details or anything that prompts the keyboard to come up because that’s typically when a freeze and crash happen. I otherwise love Google’s new calendar interface. Works well on desktop and iPhone. Only feedback is to allow me to change details/times for events others created. Someone might invite me to an all day event for example that I only need to attend for a few hours. Or I may need to arrive later than they will, etc. Lots of scenarios for why I need to be able to customize events I have been invited to.

This app no longer works with my iPhone!!

For all that is sacred, PLEASE discontinue this piece of crap! It is nearly non-functional, poorly conceived, irritatingly limited and never updated! It would be better if you just discontinued it!

I’ve tried every fix and still cannot access this calendar.

Ive used & loved Google Calendar for years (first on Android, now on iOS), but the past couple of weeks have been a disaster. It keeps lagging & crashing every time I open it. Its completely unusable. Please fix this & give me my calendar back!!!

The app becomes seriously sluggish; especially when adding attendees to an event. It sometimes 60-90 seconds to complete adding the person and saving the event, that is if it doesn’t crash.

I have this app on my android phone and it works great. The iPad version used to work great until recently. I had hoped the bug fix update I downloaded today would fix the issues, but now it just crashes faster! PLEASE FIX THIS APP!!!! I want to love it again!!!

I set three reminders 1 day before. 1 hour before and 10 minutes before and I still don’t get many of the alerts. I’ve missed things just because I’m Relying on my reminders. Would also be nice if the actual app icon showed the current date too.

I love the Google Calendar app. However, I wish that the app icon number would change depending on the day, like the Apple Calendar. My old iPhone 6 takes a while for the Google calendar to open, so the ability to quickly glance would be nice.

The ONLY app that can singlehandedly bring my iPhone X down to a crawl. Google what on earth did you do?!? Fix it! Inputting events is a hazardous activity!!!

This app is great on an Android system. But I cannot make an appointment that repeats only during the weekdays without adding each day in manually or deleting each from sat and sun. Also, on the Android version it is very easy to add an appointment by tapping on the time you want to add it, but here you just select the add event button and then have to change it to the time you need. App is meh.
