Google Calendar: Get Organized App Reviews

Great app

My only critique is that I wish you could change an event from one calendar to another in the app like you can on the desktop version.

Google calendar

This has been the most useful calendar Ive ever used. I use it both for my family and business. Great app.

The APP BADGE NEEDS TO SHOW TODAYS DATE!!

I dont understand this. You are Google!! Why cant you make this happen. The app badge shows a generic "31". It should say todays date as the numeral!!! I may have to stop using the app and calendar altogether because of this. You should not have to open the app to glance at the date!!

Potential, but falls short in a few areas

Love the app but the iPad version desperately needs some tweaking. I cant tap a date and add an event, for instance. Have to go to "create an event" and do it the long way. And even when doing that, sometimes after editing an event it wont let me save the changes and I have to click discard to get off the page. There are just random glitches like that. With a few touch ups the app could be just as powerful as the web version. Will update my review once that happens.

Gets the job done - mostly

Its pretty decent in comparison to other apps - since im a google based person everything is just more streamlined with another app from them. however, it doesnt have a dark version, something that may be sorely needed for ppl with sensitive eyes and needs an option for reoccurring events that happen multiple times a week - ex. events that occur weekly on mondays, wednesdays and thursdays - would be very useful esp in the case of students and reoccurring classes

Google calendar

The date on the icon does not change, very inconvenient.

Its a calendar

Wheres the year view? The recurring events at specific times? Wheres the support? Is reviewing a google app like talking to a wall? Im using this calendar as it integrates with my google ecosystem but not exclusively. I still rely on apples calendar for some things on my ipad and iphone. Theres always the option of using a browser too but if youre going to make a separate application why not make it more robust?

Love the concept, eh the implementation

- the calendar invites are not mine to send out to others. Something in googles backend "owns" the event - adding other people seems to be a personal reminder that theyre coming; theyre not invitees and because its not my event, I cannot add them. - the increments for moving events is weird - rescheduling goals kinda falls short - give me a dashboard for my goals

Some suggestions

Cannot add friends to Calender while on phone app Would be great to see a "week" time frame so can see Calender at a glimpse.

Amazing app

I wish there was a way to include the travel time. I keep deferring to my iOS calendar to determine that. But otherwise I love the interface.

Used to be perfect, not my #1 app anymore

Used to love this app, but for months the notifications havent been working. Ive tried everything, but I no longer get reminders before events, and Ive forgotten to attend a couple of meetings. The only time it works is if I remember to open the app myself a few minutes before Im set to receive the notification...which defeats the purpose of having a reminder in the first place.

Needs a Widget and More

As far as times of events are concerned, I would like to be able to set any time, not just five minute intervals. Also you cant change what calendar your event is on so if a mistake is made, it must be deleted.

Would be good if works

I use google calendar on my PC and works well. The iPad app is terrible. It freezes up and crashes regularly. It is totally useless you only want to look and not enter or modify events. If you want to use Google Calendar I recommend only using it on the PC and sync with iCal for iPad usage. This will avoid problems.

Almost perfect

Google made a great calendar app with all the views you could want: agenda, day, 3 day, week, and month. Perfect. The ability to switch accounts is also nice. Repeating events. Check. Invitee options. Its there. Notifications work well from what I can tell. I just have a couple of nitpicky items. 1. Please rename the app to something that fits in the iOS app name field on the iPhone. Right now it shows "Google Cal...", which is a little sloppy in my opinion. Gcal? Google Cal? Just Calendar? Im not sure, but it would look much cleaner. 2. Please implement a dynamic icon that shows the current date instead of a static "31". I know this is just recently possible so Ill cut some slack for that. Otherwise its a great app! Good job Google!

Cant save calendar events

Id rate this much higher if I could save calendar events that I create and/or edit (eg. If there are existing events in a calendar that Ive created via the website on a browser). Clicking the Save does nothing, and if I try to close the event I get asked whether I want to discard my changes or continue editing. I understand its only one issue but a pretty significant one. Please fix!

Nice interface but too many bugs

Reminders dont actually remind you. Have push exchange calendar for work on my phone and link it into Google Calendar. I have to keep manually opening the Google Calendar app to get it to refresh. Thus new events could be missed. Same thing with the widget buggy on updating. I went back to apple calendar and reminders and removed this app. Too bad the bugs existed as interface is better than apple.

Not compatible

The calendar is amazing. I give it a two because it doesnt work with the Apple Watch!

Great app

I love the colour blocks, images and maps, a clean easy-to-read look. But I want to be able to use this on my iPad as well. On the iPad, this is next to a bust, IMO: no true iPad integration (its got the dumb 1X/2X button); images and maps dont appear in landscape mode (fine, but disappointing); no month or year view is not good. And where the heck are my tasks?!! My iPad is my preferred device. I use it for almost everything mobile when Im at home and reserve my iPhone for playing audiobooks and staying on task and on time when I go out. So proper iPad integration is essential to me. 2017.07.28 Wow! What a change. Im very pleased with the changes that have been made to this app. Once I turned off the month-view graphic, the calendar is bright and clean. Its very easy to find a specific event. :) As task function would be nice, but not a necessity since I use Things 3 on all my devices. This app is great choice for managing your Google Calendar; try it and enjoy! 2017.07.31 So, yesterday I finally found how to create tasks. Too bad nothing happens at the time Ive set the reminder for as it means I now have to recreate them all in Things 3, which *does* give a reminder for *everything* I put into it. Great calendar features; sucky reminder functionality!!!

Awesome

This is legit the best app I have ever downloaded. Im able to keep up on reminders and events so easy compared to my stock calendar app, would give 10 stars if I could.

The App Doesnt Function Properly

I absolutely LOVE google calendars but the recent update has thrown the experience for a toss. Whenever I shut down the app, it takes a lot of time for my schedule to pop up again. I believe, the latest update made the glitch. Please rectify the errors as Google calendar is a utility I recommend all my friends and I, personally, bank on it.
