Finally made for iPad too

I love the app on Android on my phone, now I also love it for iPad. Previous versions were not made for the iPad but now it fills the screen. Great functionality and design. I have deleted all my other calendar apps I had tried previously.

Please add feature to customize alert sound!

One of the best things about the native Calendar app is you can customize the alert sound. Please add this feature to Google Calendar! Thank you!

No longer works best for me

Up until now, I was very happy with this calendar app. But now I cant find its most useful feature to me. Many may think that the individual coloring of events was just a frill, but I used it to see at a glance what types of events were upcoming, e.g., using red for the most important or immovable events. Other colors were for types of events and groups of people. I hope Apple brings back this feature- and soon. All new events look the same now. I cant use the individual Google calendars list to make one event for multiple people without taking up a lot of space. Very frustrated. Will be spending precious time to find another calendar program.

So far so good

I like this much better than the default calendar for iPhone. Its easier to create events, and to color coordinate for organization. Its easy to see your schedule on a daily, monthly or weekly basis. Just what I needed.

Used to love this app

Sad to see the color choices disappear :/ that was a nice feature.

Useless app

Regrettably, I found it to be an entirely useless app for those of us who prefer a monthly view. It offers only a daily, a 3-day, and a 1-week view. Not at all a substitute for their PC version. I have always used the "Tiny Calendar" app to seemlessly sync and reproduce the Google calendar experience.

Best Calendar Ive found to date

I have worked with the Outlook, Apple and more recently with the Windows 10 native calendar/email combo (which is very nice in its own right) but none comes close to the visual cool factor, ease of use and comfy feel of the Google Calendar. I have been slowly shifting from apples to the big Gs ecosystem and I am not looking back at all. I must admit I started the move reluctantly, but now I am truly a fan. In my opinion, Apples iCloud apparatus became too complex, weird and inefficient. I have found Googles portfolio of services and apps very clean, efficient and powerful.

Horrible usability for creating events!

I really wanted to like that app for its simplicity but if youre trying to use it professionally its a bit of a nightmare. The event creation is so unintuitive that you will often have to do each action twice. Very frustrating!

So good so far.

Please add some sync into it.

Awful

Freezes all the time, saves duplicate events because the original "save" doesnt work so you have to click several times, and doesnt sync to show updates Ive made from my desktop

Not good

You can only save info to a default calendar. If you have alternate calendars on your desktop computer you can brow them but you cant save to them.

Static Icon

Icon should show current date, not the 31st.

Missing in action

I have to say that im liking this Google calendar app pretty much but its missing two features for me. 1. Put the correct date on the badge. 2. Needs to have a widget. Otherwise its pretty good.

Entering event details is too slow.

Emails should have a share intention that copies The Whole email into the notes section of a Calder event and then lets you edit or drag the pieces where they belong.

Crashing and unusable For months

Unsure of what happened to the Google Calendar on my iPhone 6 Plus 128gb but it consistently crashes within 10 seconds of opening the app. Unwillingly reverted to using other calendars that are far less useful than Google Calendar. Many users experiencing similar problems in Forums. Google, please fix

Issues with google calendar.

Reminder points on days are missing please fix it. Add some new features.

No widget.

I think it needs some UI improvements and we definitely need a widget. Google does a piss poor attempt at keeping their apps clean and working properly on iOS.

All right but IOS calendar is better

Its not as good as the iOS calendar in functionality, but its better now than it used to be. I like that it has an iPad version now!! I dont like that you cant drag and drop an event from one date/time to another. Thats a big one for me if youre trying to rearrange your schedule. Also I dont like that you cannot edit/add/delete a calendar from this app, you have to go through a browser to do that. I think I also prefer when the calendar is set up so that you can scroll down to see the next month, so that all of the days are arranged as one continuous calendar, instead of scrolling side to side between months. That makes it easier to visualize the passing of time and how many weeks exactly are until your event, etc.

Good stuff

Im writing this only to put an end to the pop-up prompts asking me to write a review. Here you go Google. You pestered the crap outta me. I give up - you win. Heres a review.

UPDATE: The problems below still havent been fixed. Also has issues loading google calendars that were shared with you. Officially switching back to Apple Calendar. Love the design and features but it lacks major necessities -- Love it with the pics and layout. But still some major problems that need to be worked out. before I start using it. You cant assign events to different Google calendars (you can even do this on Apple cal!!). Also once youve made an event you cant just drag it to move the time. Until these are fixed, Apple cal is still the better choice.
