Google Calendar: Get Organized App Reviews

This app would be so much better if there were a monthly view! Google Calendar for Droid has a monthly view... Otherwise, I like this app.

Ive been using Sunrise for years and have refused to give it up, despite Microsoft buying it and ceasing all updates. Finally I decided to let it go and try something else. I do really like this calendar. It looks nice and simple. Its effective and gets the job done. I especially like the Goals feature (very cool). However, the one thing this app seems to be missing is a widget in the notification center. I need to be able to see my days events listed there. Im hoping this widget feature will be added soon. Itll be five stars from me then!

No iPad version, no month view, not even an easy way to switch months in this era of quick swipes. Check your calendar, Google—what year are you living in?

I use this as my hub between all of my other calendars and planners. The only thing I would like added is for the applet to show a live date instead of just showing 31.

New version crashes before it even opens. Fix please!

The new update is refreshing and having the ability to add tasks and events is great. However, I think it would be great if we had the ability to use the 3D Touch to shift an event on the schedule.

The app keeps crashing every time I try to add/update reminder.

Theres a lot to love about Google calendar. Its beautiful and syncs fast. But coming from Sunrise, I noticed some deficiencies as well that need to be addressed. First, it isnt clear to me when invitations are sent or received. This was very clear in Sunrise. Second, the summarized location information is a terrible idea. What if I want to meet a friend at a coffee shop and they have 2 locations close to each other. Typing in the name, I have to guess because they are both listed identically. I can only commit and repeat if I guess.incorrectly. Finally, the reminders implementation needs work. Sorting by time? Nope. If you add a note to an email, you can only see the note. Open in Inbox opens Inbox and does *NOT* go to the actual reminder. (And there arent any reminder sort options, which totally stinks.) I love Google Calendar for the desktop and it works great. Im hoping the mobile team takes the feedback in stride and gets the details right.

What is wrong with Google lately!?! This app was great before they changed it :( This new change features the elimination of FUNCTIONALITY! You cant look at the full month and see whats going on... LIKE EVERY OTHER CALENDAR APP! OR ANY CALENDAR IN LIFE

Googles calendar goals have totally messed up my calendar agenda. I have deleted all previous goals and they still show up under my agenda in Google now and my events in Google search. I thought I solved this problem but unfortunately it still shows up. These are phantom events with a date of January 1 2000. How is that possible?! Google needs to get this fixed. Their calendar app is severely lacking.

Prefer to have the ability to see a better month view without having to scroll.

Convenient and user-friendly app. Very nice to see appointments in one place. But I use a community calendar for my workplace, and we rely on being able to use the calendar in real time. I cant get my appointments to update on the app (e.g., I try to move an appointment from 3pm to 2pm and it doesnt save on the app, I have to go to a browser to do it). Used to work great, not sure why it doesnt anymore.

This is an easy to use/view great design.

I have several calendars, and I would like to have the option to switch an event from one calendar to another like you can on the desktop version.

The app works very well, but I wish there was a version for the iPad. The app works on the iPad mini, but clearly is not optimized for it. There should be a monthly view, and the app should make better use of notifications in iOS. Its just as if the app is not finished!

The good: 1. Intuitive. 2. Easy to use. 3. Painlessly syncs across devices. 4. Grabs events from emails. Improvements needed: 1. Landscape on iPad. 2. Smaller fonts / ability to select size on iPad. 3. Put current date on icon. "31" is on the icon all the time. You might as well put a picture of a turnip, which is a disgusting vegtable that no one likes. 4. Month view. The lack of a month view begs for a snide comment, but its absence leaves me speechless. While the ability to grab events like flights from emails is nifty, Ive put events in other calendar aps for a long time and wrote them on paper calendars before that. I view smaller fonts and month view as more important. Lack of month view is like a car without heat / air. It runs, but doesnt feel very good.

Like most people coming over from Sunrise calendar I have had allot of similar issues so I wont repeat what they have said, but what I havent seen in these reviews is the ability to link my Facebook account with this calendar so that I can RSVP to events and have them show up in my calendar automatically. It was so convenient to be able to see everything at once and decide what I wanted to attend and what I could not without having to toggle back and forth between the two. Please add this feature.

This is one of the most useful apps that is currently on my phone. It makes prioritizing a breeze and almost fun in a way. Would definitely recommend to someone.

The calendar has given me confidence again in my ability to accomplish my goals as it has allowed me to set aside time on a set basis to make progress toward my bigger goals. Blocking chunks of time has allowed me to focus on working on a piece of the project for a specific period of time, and it feels so good to see the progress Im making!

Unusable. Google play version is superior. No month view job usefulness
