Doesnt update, unless opened

The widget, which is very important, doesnt get updated until the app is opened. For example, when an Apple calendar, thats linked to Google Calendar updated (an event), the changes dont appear in Google Calendar widget. Theres the need to open the app in order to update the widget. Inconvenient, and worslty – makes the widget untrustworthy. Google apps are great, especially the Calendar, so please make the right fix for it to make it as awesome as we expect it to be. Thanks. P.S. Theres no way to set 1.5h reminder, before an event; thats weird! – not by hours and not by minutes.
