Very buggy and sluggish

Update: 3/27/18 - No change. This is app literally becomes non-responsive and locks up my phone, then crashes. What has happened to the app??? It has always been my go-to calendar. It’s so buggy now. Plz update with a fix!

Original: Not sure what has changed with the app, but it hangs up, stutters along, and at times become non-responsive. To use it, I have to be willing to sit and wait while it “freezes” for an unknown amount of time to catch up. This happens even with scrolling. Can not scroll smoothly from day-to-day. It’s become a real frustration to use this calendar app, which is a shame because I love google calendar desktop and want to calendar app to smoothly sync with it. I will now rely on another app version of a calendar until or if this google calendar is fixed and working better.
