Fix the performance issues!!

I have lived in this app for years. I use Google for all of my productivity tools at work and personally. Google Calendar is perhaps the most important of all of these. I have never liked the native calendar apps which come with Mac OS or iOS and have exclusively used google calendar web app on desktop and google calendar iOS app on my iPhone. I interact with Google Calendar hundreds of times each day.

For a couple of months, the iOS app has had horrendous performance issues. It lags several seconds sometimes when trying to edit an event, change its title, location, etc. I very often cannot complete a task. This is frustrating and actually causes major issues for my business. I have driven myself mad trying to fix it. I have completely reinstalled my phone twice. I have deleted and reinstalled the app countless times. I have played with and reset all settings. Etc.

Today I saw there was a new update promising performance improvements but it is still laggy.

Guys, please fix this. I am using an iPhone 6 on iOS 11.2.6. I am generally up to date and have experienced issues since Jan 2018.
